The Board of Directors oversees the entire operation and sets the strategic direction for Biosafety Now.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Governance: Ensuring adherence to legal and ethical standards.
  • Strategic Planning: Establishing long-term goals and policies.
  • Financial Oversight: Managing the organization’s finances, including budgeting and financial planning, and fundraising
  • Advocacy: Representing and promoting the organization’s mission in the community.

 

 

The Advisory Board offers specialized support and guidance without the legal and fiduciary duties of the Board of Directors. Advisors play an essential role in advancing Biosafety Now’s mission but lack decision-making authority.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Consultation: Advising on strategic choices and specific projects.
  • Expertise Sharing: Providing specialized knowledge and skills.
  • Advocacy: Representing and promoting the organization’s mission in the community.
  • Content Development: Creating materials for the website, newsletters, or social media, or hosting or participating in related activities.
