David Fisman is a Professor of Epidemiology at the University of Toronto and a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences and the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. He co-leads the Pandemic Readiness Stream at the University of Toronto’s Institute for Pandemics and was a founding member of the Cambridge Working Group. He is a physician-epidemiologist with research interests that fall at the intersection of applied epidemiology, mathematical modeling, and applied health economics. Dr. Fisman completed a residency in Internal Medicine at McGill and Brown Universities, before completing a fellowship at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centre in Boston, and an MPH at Harvard School of Public Health. He was also an AHRQ fellow in Health Policy (1998-2001) at Harvard Centre for Risk Analysis, and has held faculty appointments at McMaster, Princeton, and Drexel Universities.
