Eric S. Starbuck was Save the Children’s Senior Advisor for Child Health and Pandemic Preparedness. He received his MPH from Johns Hopkins University in 1991 and his DrPH from Johns Hopkins in 1994. Eric worked on pandemic preparedness for Save the Children from early 2006. He supported Save the Children’s response to the 2009 influenza pandemic and was the lead public health advisor to Save the Children US and Save the Children International on their US and global response to COVID-19. Eric also supported the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of child health programs, and provided technical assistance to Save the Children’s country offices and project staff in child health programming from 1998 through 2023. He was a Charter Member of the Cambridge Working Group.
