He is a disruptor in premium entertainment, curating and helming huge titles like Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal, Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets, The Pharmacist, and Fyre Fraud. Furst quickly became considered a documentary “wunderkind,” editing and producing the critically acclaimed Brick City with Forest Whitaker and senior producing Chicagoland with Robert Redford. Furst also co-founded The Cinemart, forging an impactful partnership with Shawn “Jay Z” Carter to direct and executive produce the urgent social justice projects Time: The Kalief Browder Story and Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story.
